Grant Shaw

Director

Grant is the Founder and Director of E-ulogy. He has always worked in  communications, first as a technician in the post office and later in driving the video conferencing market in New Zealand. Now Grant works to provide different kind of communication; one that lets families share memories and more during a difficult time. He is an established funeral celebrant who works in the wider Auckland area and occasionally the Waikato. Grant is able to combine technical and creative skills with care, empathy and respect.

In his spare time Grant enjoys playing guitar, fishing and spending time with his family & friends. Grant loves cats.

Darryl Halloran

Chapel Attendant and Health & Safety Manager

Darryl has worked for E-ulogy since December 2017 as Chapel Attendant and Health & Safety Manager. His previous careers have been in logistics, operations and general management, spanning almost 40 years. Darryl has proven experience in adding value to business brands such as Sony NZ, Repco, Harvey Norman, Americold and Restaurant Brands to name a few. In addition, he has a strong background in operational and financial management including accounts, purchasing, customer services, IT, distribution, HS&E and freight costing and management. Above all, Darryl is a positive, driven, proactive, trustworthy and dedicated individual that will always go the extra mile.

Darryl enjoys playing drums, listening to music and building models. Darryl loves cats.

Jessie Meadows

Chapel Attendant

Jessie is the newest addition to the E-ulogy team, having had careers in retail management, customer service administration, Aviation Security and app development.

Her experience is clearly varied, which brings a wealth of knowledge from different backgrounds into everything she does. Jessie has social media management, media design and webpage editing skills under her belt. In addition, Jessie is passionate about providing the best service to families, funeral companies and celebrants.

Jessie is passionate about psychology, movies, making playlists and plants. She loves getting into nature and also spends a lot of time in tattoo studios! Jessie also loves cats.

Stuart Dwight

Chapel Attendant

Stuart has been with E-ulogy since June 2020.  He is known as the “Man of Many Hats”, both literally (owns 123 Trilby’s) and because of the wide skill set he brings to the table.  He  worked for 20 years in Radio and over 35 years in the Events Industry – which he still does today.  Radio saw him fill most roles within the industry, on air host, copy writer, account manager, commercial voice, event and sponsorship management and Manger on the Senior Management Team.
His Event Management life started when he was just 16 as a DJ.  Over the years he has worked on some of the largest events in the country, including V8 Supercars, ASB Classic, VOLVO Ocean Race, NZ Golf Open, Selwyn Sounds, Concerts in the Park, Rugby World Cup, World Rowing Champs, NZ Badminton Open to name a few.  But whether it’s a conference, school dance, wedding, quiz night or major event, Stuart takes them all on as if they are the biggest event in the world, with a fully professional attitude that ensures things get done right.
In his spare time he is an avid sports fan (watching live and on TV)  having retired from football and triathlons a few years ago, he enjoys living by the sea, is passionate about music and he loves dogs.

Robin Vortanov

Another recent addition to the E-ulogy team, Rob is a pro Ice Hockey player and one of the stars of the NZ National Ice Hockey team.  

Rob has plenty of retail management experience which suited his need to train and to travel all over New Zealand and ashore to play ice hockey.

Rob also has a deep love for fashion, cultivating in the launch of his own business within the industry – Rob’s Vintage. Selling pre loved and never been worn apparel, accessories and more has seen him successfully create a rapport with his customers. They trust he will always bring great quality, well priced, unique finds.

Rob is passionate about all of his work endeavors, his friends, his sport and good music (he is a talented DJ!). His best friend is Buddy, his beloved dog who is the king of the castle at home.
