Funerals at Auckland Council Chapels
Since December 2017 E-ulogy has been responsible for providing audio visual and attendant services at Auckland Council Chapels at:
• North Shore Memorial Park
• Waikumete Cemetery and Crematorium
• Manukau Memorial Gardens.
E-ulogy are proud to have been chosen to bring our years of experience to the assistance of the families, funeral directors and celebrants that use these wonderful spaces.
In addition, we are pleased to be able to build on the quality of service provided in the past to bring a new level of care and competency to the Council’s customers.
What we offer
Pre-testing of any media
E-ulogy has been responsible for the creation of thousands of video tributes since 2005, and our staff are well aware of the importance of ensuring that any media, in whatever format, works on the day.
Until recently families were asked to bring their media to the chapel the day before the service to ensure that it plays on the AV equipment. Above all, we recognise what an inconvenience this can be – especially in Auckland’s traffic – so we are pleased to offer our online media testing service.
Here’s how it works:
- Contact us directly on 0800 EULOGY or email us at mediatest@e-ulogy.co.nz. Please do this at least a day before the funeral. In addition, we will need to know the date, time and location of the funeral, and the name of the person who has passed away.
- Our Team will email you a link to a private Dropbox folder or to our Google Drive location. (Dropbox and Google Drive is a cloud storage service that is used for file sharing). Similarly, another way to transfer a completed slideshow is via WeTransfer. Go to www.wetransfer.com.
- Then upload your photo/video tribute and music files to the folder.
- We will test the media and then advise you, by phone or email, of a successful test, or of any problems that we have found with file(s).
- After that, the file will be forwarded to the appropriate chapel and we will also copy the file to a USB drive to bring to the service as a back up.
- Finally, there is no charge for this service.
Important note: The above service applies to media that a family has created themselves or has had created for them. These media files will generally be MP4, MP2, Quicktime, WMV, PowerPoint or similar.
Creating the perfect Photo Tribute
In addition, we can create professional photo tributes for you from original photographs or digital images. These tributes will be yours to keep as a long-lasting memoir for your family and friends. Visit our Photo Tributes page for more information or call us on 0800 385649 (EULOGY).
Music Library
The sites that we manage have access to our extensive iTunes library and our Spotify account. Therefore, this makes sourcing music for the service very easy. Simply send an email to mediatest@e-ulogy.co.nz with a song list detailing what music you would like, and when in the service it is to be played, or you could create a playlist in your Spotify account which would then be accessed from the chapel AV suite. As always, feel free to call us on 0800 385649 (EULOGY) should you need any help.
Service Recording
All services held in Auckland Council chapels we manage are recorded and are available on USB. Your funeral director can arrange for us to get a copy to you after the service.
Operation of Audio Visual Equipment
Finally, now that we have all the media for the service, the next important thing is to know when you want us to play it for you!
Our attendant will work with you, your celebrant and your funeral director, to create a running sheet for the funeral. This will detail what media is to be played at which stage of the service as per the example below:
